I moved to Alaska with my family four years ago, never expecting the winters would be so harsh nor the summers so rewarding. For in the summer I get the opportunity to travel to the many wonderful wild places Alaska has to offer, from the lakes in the mountains to the trails by the shore.
I live with my family and we're often doing interesting trips into the bush, this once involved following a river backward which was very fun.
I was raised in a contractor's family, therefore I know what hard work looks like and have worked with my dad for as long as I can remember. We're the team that gets the job done.
My social status isn't the greatest, but I do enjoy meeting some of my friends who work at my favorite bookstore and the fine ladies who work the counter for the library book sales every month or so.
I don't have any in real life friends of my age, but I've always been one to have older friends which doesn't bother me.
